The Big Horn Conservation District has partnered with the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks, Montana Department of Natural Resources, and other Montana Conservation Districts to better protect our waters from aquatic invasive species (AIS) with the opening and operating of a watercraft inspection station (WIS). The watercraft inspection station is located on Highway 313 between Saint Xavier and Fort Smith. The station is open Sunday to Saturday from 7 am to 4 pm.

Saint Xavier Seasonal Boat Inspection Positions Available
Help protect Montana’s waters from Aquatic Invasive Species. Now hiring a seasonal part-time position to assist conservation districts in supervising and operating boat inspections in Saint Xavier, Montana.
Duties include management, educating boaters, customer service, boat inspections, and possibly supervising seasonal crew. Work conditions include travel and working outdoors. The ability to climb, bend, stoop, reach, and crawl around various types of watercraft and lift signs and equipment is necessary. Training will be provided. Employees report to the Big Horn County Conservation District in Hardin.
